Welcome to Tenerife and Puntoinfo

Through this website, the Tenerife Island Council aims to offer a cultural, social, historical and organisational overview of the island. The various pages have been developed with the aim of responding to the majority of visitor enquiries, as well as of answering the questions posed by local inhabitants wishing to expand their knowledge of their immediate environment.

The information gathered during the course of this project covers a total of 650 pages, although in the interests of user-friendliness, it has been divided into 9 general chapters complete with their corresponding subsections.

To navigate the website, simply select the chapter and subsection from the left-hand side of this text by placing the cursor over your chosen option and then clicking with the left-hand mouse button. This will automatically take you to the article in question, a hard copy of which can be printed out by clicking on the ‘Print’ option.

The search engine ‘SEARCH’, located at the top right-hand side, enables you to locate texts containing a certain word or words. If you enter more than one word, the search will return only those pages which contain all the specified terms.
Hotels, apartments, rural guesthouses, restaurants and bars all use their own search engine, which can be accessed in different ways, either from within the Tourist Infrastructure section or by clicking on the Accommodation & Dining box. You can search for establishments either by name (above the map of Tenerife) or by zone, municipality, type or category (under the map).

The Postcard option enables you to send images of the most beautiful spots on the island along with your e-mail. Postcards are grouped into different categories.

The pages have been optimised for a resolution of 800x600 and 1024x768 pixels, and work correctly with different navigator versions.
